ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare journal entries and month end reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly forecast and annual budget development.
- Conduct variance analysis to determine trends and work with management team to improve financial performance.
- Assist in the development of raw material, work in process, and finished good standard costs.
- Evaluate actual costs to standard including: manufacturing variances, raw material purchase price variances, and material usage variances.
- Analyze inventory turns, coordinate physical inventory and cycle count activities, and perform inventory reserve calculations.
- Assist management in financial performance through increasing material usage efficiency, decreasing inventory write-offs, and improving order quantities.
- Work with local team to prepare capital project requests, perform project financial analysis, and the development of short and long term capital goals. Account for all capital expenditures, maintain fixed asset sub-ledger, and prepare capital expenditure budgets and forecasts.
- Know and comply with all plant SOP’s and Accounting Department procedures. Assist in drafting and/or updating Accounting Department procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Develop and review product cost estimates and quotes.
- Act as a resource for non-financial personnel in matters of inventory and cost analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess knowledge of SOP procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Cost Accounting policies and procedures. Must also possess an understanding of the Cost Accounting functions.
- Experience with SAP and Hyperion is preferred.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of experience. Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
